Publishing e-Marketplace and International Thomson Publishing Services
(ITPS), a leading UK based distributor, announced today that ITPS has
joined PubEasy and plans to launch a new /TRANSACT enabled PubEasy web
site with a target launch date of February 28, 2001.
ITPS, a Thomson company, distributes over 50,000 titles for clients
including Taylor & Francis, Thomson Learning, Sweet & Maxwell,
Janes Information Group, Gale Group, Evans Publishing Group,
Granada Learning. ITPS is
currently growing their third-party business, and other non-Thomson
companies will be added in the future.
The PubEasy registered bookseller community is growing quickly with
over 3,300 bookseller accounts and over 4,800 users from 95+countries.
Booksellers in the US and around the world with a PubEasy password
will be able to obtain information on all the titles distributed by
ITPS and access the ITPS inventory/fulfillment system for real-time
price and availability information, order placement, order tracking
and access to e-Catalogs.
The ITPS /PubEasy site will offer booksellers all the new PubEasy
services including the /TRANSACT service, which enables booksellers
from anywhere in the world to "batch" price and availability
inquiries, order status inquiries and orders across the Internet for
rapid processing and acknowledgement. It will also offer carrier and
shipper information links, customized pricing and market restriction
information as well as the ability for booksellers to create and
modify their own e-catalogs on the ITPS/PubEasy site.
